What is the Learn to Train Course?
The focus of this course isn't just to brush up on technical points of the snatch, clean and jerk.
The goal is to make you ready, confident to join team training sessions and train as part of a weightlifting team and if you choose to compete too!
One of the best parts of weightlifting is training and hitting PB's with a group of likeminded people. This 4 week introduction to weight lifting will get you ready to go into a team training environment and feel confident you can train alongside others, or to go into your own gym and be able to follow a program and know you will be able to do the movements to the standard you need to do keep improving.
How Does It Work, What Do You Get?
- 4 in person coached 90 minute sessions
With two Ronin coaches leading your sessions so you get the attention you need to be able to lay down good movement patterns to reach your potential and hit your goals in the snatch and clean and jerk in the future.
- Virtual Coaching Support
In your session away from the gym we program and guide you through the sessions in your own gym so you feel like you're able to have some proper direction to practice what we show you in the coach lead sessions.
- Entry into our community
We pride ourselves on having a welcoming and supportive community in the gym and online, the purpose of this course is to make you feel confident and competent enough in the lifts that you can join our team sessions afterwards and eventually compete as a Ronin athlete if you want to!
We're looking for a maximum of SIX people to do this course, so we can keep the quality of coaching high and give you the best chance of learning the lifts over 4 weeks and being ready to join the full team sessions and our virtual coaching community afterwards.
After the course you will be get first refusal on a virtual coaching spot with us, which comes with the option to come and train with us at Ronin team sessions and 1 to 1 sessions with your coach.
How strong do you need to be to start?
You don't need to be strong to start, but you do need to start to get strong! there is no minimum entry requirement. That goes for age, weight, size, movement competence, training history and sport background, you don't need to be a certain level to do this course; If you really want to get involved in weightlifting that's more than enough!
The course will be £180.00 for the 4 weeks.
